Underseat Carry On
When the airlines say "personal Item" underseat luggage would be this personal item. Some small airlines are now charging for carry on bags unless it is an underseat bag and meets their dimension requirements.

Our Luggage
Carry On
Larry has a Maxlite5 International 2-wheel bag. I have an older Eagle Creek Warrior International bag with dual handle. Mine weighs much less than Larry's bag (4 lb 12 oz); his has more storage and a flat-shaped top whereas mine has a rounded top which makes it harder to stack a personal item on the handle. His is 21-3/4" tall; mine is 20" tall including wheels.
My dilemma: Our bags are too large for RyanAir if we want to fly really inexpensively while we're in Europe.
The online bags available in the U.S. all have too big of dimensions to be used for Underseat Storage on Ryanair.
CabinMax (out of UK) makes bags with the proper dimensions but they are all backpacks.
