Planning Stages
We've been to the Olympic National Park, but were traveling by car and weren't able to camp and spend more time in the area. This is a plan to spend more time in the Olympic National Forest.

If pulling trailer, from Renton S. on Hwy 167 S to Sumner, Hwy 512 W to I-5, SW to Olympia, Hwy 101 NW
Camping:
Camping Outside the National Forest
Skokomish Park, On Lake Cushman $50-56 (1 hr from Olympia) Sites 44-50 closer to water (Rated #2 top campground in NW)
CAMPING
There are an abundance of NFS campsites in the park (we get ½ price with our card). Only four have reservations ahead of time (Kalaloch, Sol Duc, Hoh Rain Forest and Mora), while the rest are first-come, first-served.

Big Creek Campground (close to Staircase entrance to park) FCFS 53 RV/trailer sites
Hamma Hamma Campground and Lena Campground (8 mi from Eldon) 15 sites; max 21’ length FCFS
Collins Campground 10 trailer/rv sites 21’ max FCFS
Seal Rock Campground views of Hood Canal and the mountains to the southeast is located directly on Hood Canal. Seal Rock Campground is one of the few national forest campgrounds located on salt water with harvestable oysters for public use.FCFS (3 handicap sites).
Fallsview Campground CLOSED due to root rot
Sequim Bay State Park 15 sites full utility up to 45’ dry camp up to 30’
Heart o the Hills Campground (better for tent camping)
Altair (near a dam using blasting/construction
Log Cabin RV and Campground (north-central Olympic Park) opens May 21 for camping
Fairholme: 88 FCFS some lakeside sites; 21’ max
Klahowya; most sites 30’ max a few 40’ max; has .3 mi loop trail
Sol Duc Hot Springs RV (north-central Olympic Park) The RV Park is a gravel parking lot with 17 RV sites. Bumper logs provide greater delineation of RV sites. There is limited privacy in this area. Back-in spaces only. No pull-through sites offered. They have water/electric.
Mora Campground Reservations 5/26-9/16, then FCFS D62 55 Mora is close to Rialto Beach site maps
Forks is nearby for supplies, and there’s a restaurant in La Push with fresh caught salmon. FCFS Open Sept 16-May 25
Site 7 says pull-through but have to back out. Loop C sites the most private
South Beach Campground (360) 565-3130 FCFS campground overlooks Pacific Ocean; no privacy; BEST CAMPSITES

Bogachiel State Park: 26 std sites; 6 power/water sites
Willoughby Creek 3 campsites close to Hoh Rain Forest visitor center
Minnie Peterson 9 sites (longest one is 40’)close to Hoh Rain Forest visitor center
Hoh Oxbow 8 sites and a boat ramp close to Hoh Rain Forest visitor center
Hoh Rain Forest Campground 6/1-9/15 reservations A25 pull-thru, view A29 back-in, view (12-29 all have somewhat of river view)--right next to Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center
Kalaloch (SW corner of park) reservations 5/26-9/15 by several beaches
Gatton Creek (5 walk-in tent camp), Falls Creek (21 sites) & Willaby Creek (19 sites) are all on Lake Quinault near Quinault Lodge FCFS
