Budget Your Trip
I like this site because they use information furnished by travelers. No trip budgeter app or program will be perfect because so many factors affect the cost of your trip. For instance, some countries are more expensive to visit than others. Some people want to travel more luxuriously than others. Time of year can affect costs (we try to travel during the shoulder season). Tour guides cost money. The more tours you use, the more expensive the trip is.

Scott's Cheap Flights
There are free and paid memberships but I chose the premium paid membership $24 for first year) about a year before I planned a big trip so I could get an idea of just what was available. Since we're retired we have the flexibility to choose a last-minute flight or choose when prices become less than half the regular price.
